Derm Shield Aftercare
(Latex free, hypoallergenic, bandage)
I recommend leaving it on for 3-5 days. Blood, ink and plasma will collect under the bandage, which is completely normal. While the bandage is on there aren’t any other steps to take, but things to avoid and look out for.
DON’T
-Submerge in water(showering is fine), no pools, hot tubs, etc.
-Expose it to the sun for extended periods of time.
REMOVE IF
-The bandage starts leaking.
-If you are noticing a reaction to the bandage (please send me a photo if you have any concerns).
REMOVAL
In the shower or under hot/warm water. Let the water run over the bandage to help loosen the adhesive and slowly pull from the edges gently.
ONCE REMOVED
-Wash your tattoo at least twice a day, with antibacterial liquid soap.
-Dial Soap
-Either let it air dry or pat dry with a clean paper towel.
-Apply a SMALL amount of unscented moisturizer 2-3 times a day.
-Lubriderm or Hustle Butter
AVOID UNTIL COMPLETELY HEALED (2-4 Weeks)
-Over moisturizing.
-Direct sun exposure(Use sunscreen once healed).
-Submerging in water
-Excessive sweating
-Picking or peeling your tattoo
